The Ringer is a slightly smaller version of the Super Ringer; it has rings that encircle the body of the bait, trapping air that is released as air bubbles under water to act as an attractant, a characteristic that mimics the air bubbles released from native baits as they move through the water. The rings and tail give off a lot of vibration as the bait is pulled through the water. The air bubbles and vibration produce a lot of attractant, enhanced only by the pork fat and anise oil already cooked into the bait, resulting in aggressive strikes from those big fish. This is an excellent worm for catching smallmouth bass. A larger 9 inch Super Ringer bait and smaller 4 inch Ringer are available.
